With Thanksgiving fast approaching it makes me think of all I am thankful for. It is nice and wonderful that we set aside such a day to be thankful. Then I wonder how can we extend this to more than one day. Can we be thankful to God everyday for all things? How would that change our lives? If you wake up every day and just say 3 things you are thankful for and throughout the day if you realize more thank God
In what ways can we be thankful besides praying and thanking God? We can send someone a thank you note expressing in words our appreciation for all they have done. It can be doing something nice for someone who has done so much for you. Being thankful for the seemingly little things can go over in a big way. People like to feel appreciated for what they do it motivates them to push forward and continue on.
I am so thankful for my family, my son, my friends. I feel blessed to have such a thoughtful caring church family to see every Sunday. I am thankful for all the lovely people I get to work with everyday and the clients I interact with as well. I am thankful for my health, my gift to reach out to others and help. It is not something I take for granted and it makes me feel so good when I can help someone. There are so many things to be thankful for that is just to name a few
Being thankful isn’t about just saying thank you it’s more than that. It is feeling thankful in your heart and giving back. When someone shows you kindness it feels so wonderful even unexpected sometimes that you want to return the favor but also give that feeling to others. I want to be able to thank God everyday for everything in my life. Even the struggles because in the end they help us grow, help us appreciate when things are really good and helps make us stronger people and through our weakness we find strength in God.
Today when you wake up thank God for waking you up. Allowing you a new day to make a difference. To change someone’s life for the better. Thank God for your whatever you have. If its your health thank him for that. If it’s the love and support of your family, thank him. Whatever it is thank him. Remember to thank the people around that make your world a better place. Think about all that goes into that wonderful feeling of being at church on Sunday and all that goes into making that happen. Think about your child’s school experience. If it’s good, think about all the people involved to make that a wonderful experience. I know life is not always easy and somedays are harder to find things that we are thankful for than others. I know everyday we can do our best to find things to be thankful for.
I’m glad we have that special day on Thanksgiving to remember to be thankful but if we try it everyday think how amazing our lives can be. Let’s work together to build one another up, encourage one another and thank one another. Thank you for reading.
always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
