Do you think it is possible to have joy in the midst of trials?
“‘ For I know the plans I have for you,’” declares the Lord, “‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” —Jeremiah 29:11
Did you ever have a day or weekend or week that everything seemed to go right? That all your prayers were answered? Did you ever think I can’t trust this to last long? Did you let that doubt creep in? I mean you are going to have good days and bad days but maybe it’s where our focus is that affects that day.
If my focus is on God and prayer and walking my path and chasing my passions I notice more blessings.
If I’m letting fear and doubt creep in I’m going to be looking for what’s wrong or could go wrong.
This weekend was a blessing. It seemed to flow with ease. It seemed my prayers were answered in ways I could not have imagined but I really focused on God and prayer. Was everything perfect? Was I always perfect? No but I didn’t focus on those things my eyes, ears and heart were open to the blessings.
Even if your day doesn’t start out right it’s not the end there are still blessings headed your way.
I will embrace them and cherish them and allow them to carry me through the struggles.
God has a plan and no matter the ups and downs with God I can handle them.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” —Romans 8:28 –
