We are all different in our own way. God made us the way we are for a reason. Your journey is discover that reason and share your story to inspire others. I grew up with poor vision. I never saw as everyone else did. I really didn’t know any different because I was born that way. People would ask me why can’t you see that are you blind or something? Because they didn’t understand. It hurt, I realized then that maybe this was a problem but I could not change it so I did not let it get me down. I thought they are mean and they can change that! As I grew older I realized I was given a gift not to see like everyone else I didn’t focus on tiny details and flaws I saw the whole person. I saw the bigger picture. My eyes weren’t focus so much on this world but of what was real going on wth people overall. Someone you even gather compassion for those that hurt you because you realize those people are hurting too. Maybe if someone showed them something positive they could see differently too. In my line of work as a massage therapist I help others feel better. I help them distress, take away their aches and pains so they aren’t focused on the pain anymore they are focused on what’s important in life like their friends, family and faith and maybe even reaching out to others. I have experienced migraines and dizzy spells but that has only led me to know how to help others with similar problems. Every time I have a hurt or ache or pain it can be a learning experience of how to help others with similar problems. You see our differences is what makes us unique. We should celebrate them not condemn them. They are their for a reason. Maybe so you learn something, maybe to help you grow, maybe so you finally cry out to God to take over. Whatever the reason it’s not negative turn it into a positive. I am always one to find the silver lining in any situation. Yes you may be experiencing a storm right now but God can help you through it and when you do something amazing will be on the other side. I don’t know what it is but I look forward to finding out. Discover what makes you different and ask God to lead you into celebrating it and helping others. I love all of you and pray that you let that Light shine so bright fir others to see so they seek God!
Help us and guide us in celebrating and appreciating our differences.
Help us to recognize the needs, respect the struggles, and support each other. Help us to think before we judge. Help us to put ourselves in each other’s places. Help us to recognize the struggles that each of us face daily through our acts and thoughts of compassion and empathy. Help care for one another through your grace and love.
May we love one another as you love us. With your guidance and strength, I plead for you to help us replace negative thoughts, action and words by reframing and rephrasing them. May we appreciate and recognize the daily acts of love and kindness that we experience and express our love for each other without fear. Help us heal our wounds, both physical and emotional, through your guidance.
Please be our light during this dark period and guide our way as we grow and adapt to our changing lives. Help this experience bring us closer through your love and healing. Help us find our purpose and role during this new phase of our lives. Help us to appreciate every day and live a life of grace through you.
In Jesus name we pray
“Do we not all have one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously each against his brother so as to profane the covenant of our fathers?”
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity”
1 Peter 2:9-10
But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY.
